Golf Torrequebrada

The very characteristic golf course Golf Torrequebrada designed by José Gancedo, “the Picasso of Golf”, opened in 1976 and is ideally located in heart of the Costa del Sol, just 20 minutes from Málaga Airport.

The magnificent design of Golf Torrequebrada hosting enjoyable 18 holes and high levelled tees allowing you to determine the way of playing each hole. Large and undulated greens, strategically placed bunkers and lakes, olive, pine and palm trees beautifully line the fairways together with unbeatable seaviews convert Golf Torrequebrada into a unique course.

The Clubhouse at Golf Torrequebrada with its panoramic views over the course and the Alboran Sea offers all kinds of services for the golfer; ProShop, changing rooms, meeting rooms, bar & restaurant with very comfortable terrace.

Just a few minutes away are the wide sandy beaches and the popular leisure harbour Benalmádena Puerto Marina, but arguably the best feature is that our very popular holiday rental Villa Croonenborgh is located right on the bordering hills of Torrequebrada Golf overlooking these same beautiful greens to the Mediterranean.

Spain to open up to tourists in July

Good news for holiday makers and owners of second homes in Spain: there will be a tourist season this summer! Spain is to open up for foreign tourism under conditions of safety, so there might still be regional and provincial restrictions in place. Social distancing rules however will make it challenging for tourist businesses. A holiday home means less trouble regarding social distancing and therefore renting a detached villa with private swimming-pool will be a very good option to choose for your family holiday in Spain.

The Mezquita of Córdoba

Also known as the Great Mosque of Córdoba, the Mezquita is not only one of the greatest works of Islamic architecture, but also one of the world’s most fascinating and unique places of worship. Built on the site of an ancient Roman temple and with a Renaissance Christian cathedral at its heart, it is a symbol of harmony and coexistence between different cultures, religions, and civilizations that have left their mark on the South of Spain. The monument stretches across 24,000 square meters and its interior, with its distinctive red-and-white striped arches and hundreds of Jasper, onyx, and marble columns, is especially remarkable.

Puerto Marina Benalmádena

Awarded the title of Best Marina in the World on two occasions, Puerto Marina in Benalmádena is often described as a modern Venice. You’ll notice that the port is made up of artificial islands connected by small bridges.

While the marina’s architectural style is difficult to define, some note strong Indian, Arabic and local Andalusian influences. Strolling around the marina you will find great shops, restaurants, cafés, and activity options including boat trips, paragliding and dolphin watching.

Your next stop is lunch or dinner at one of the port’s great restaurants. With more than 40 international choices, you won’t be short of great options in Puerto Marina. No matter which restaurant you choose, you’ll have a great view of the sunny port and the 1000+ boats that line the harbour.

What could be better than staying in a Benalmádena holiday rental close to the marina and your day-time boat?

The King´s pathway

The opening of the newly reformed Caminito del Rey has been one of the most anticipated events in recent years. The new pathway has been making headlines across the world, with Lonely Planet recently nominating a walk along the Caminito as one of the hottest things to do. The Caminito was originally built between 1901 and 1905 and was used to transport material and people between two power stations that were built either side of the El Chorro gorge. It wasn’t until the early 1920s that it was officially opened by King Alfonso XIII who walked its whole length and gave it its name. Since that time, the Camino has become one of the wonders of Spain. The Garganta del Chorro is an amazing place, with huge walls of rock as high as 400m along its three-kilometre length. Tickets have to be reserved online.
